Last night saw the launch of Oakley In Residence London, the second stop of our collaborative project with Oakley, a global series of spaces created by four23 celebrating creativity, culture and lifestyle in sport.
‘The Workshop’, currently In Residence at Exmouth Market in London’s Clerkenwell district, is built for the cycling community; with exhibitions, weekly city rides, bike maintenance workshops, film and live race screenings, expert talks, design and innovation launches and cycling adventures with Oakley athletes.
The space features collaborations with a range of local partners: coffee will be provided by baristas from Prufrock of Leather Lane, the London Bike Kitchen will host DIY fix-it workshops, Seabass mechanics will be on hand everyday offering bike services and maintenance tutorials, art collective Spoke will curate the gallery and run screen printing classes and East London Fixed will lead weekly ride-outs from the Workshop.
Cyclists including Bradley Wiggins, Mark Cavendish, Victoria Pendleton and Liam Philips will also appear at The Workshop over the coming months for interviews, film screenings and Q+A’s.
