Born of Attention

Born of Attention

19th to 27th September 2015

'Born of Attention' is an exhibition exploring the reality of information overload. In recent years, humans have created more information than in all of history before us. Filtering this information comes at a metabolic cost and at times it can seem like our heads are struggling to catch up. So how do we decide what to pay attention to and what to ignore? How do we reclaim a sense of immersion, concentration and attention?

Including a specially commissioned film by artist Jenny Lee and a multi tasking virtual reality experience, 'Born of Attention' will test visitors minds and ask, what it is to 'pay attention’?
